Danger

  • Ensure the situation is safe to enter.
  • Check and remove all the hazard.

Response

  • Tap victim shoulder and check victim conciousness.
  • Call 999 if victim no response

Chess Compression

  • 30 Compression at center of the chest
  • Press hard and press fast at the center of the chest
  • Around 100 compression in one minute

Airway

  • Head Tilt, Chin Lift to open the airway
  • Remove foreign object from victim mouth (If exist)

Breathing

  • Give 2 recue breaths

What is CPR?

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency lifesaving procedure to save life when heart stop beating to restore manual blood circulation, it is important for cardiac arrest or heart attack patient, which is number one killer in Malayisa. The steps of CPR consisting of chest compressions and often combined with mouth to mouth ventilation.

What is Hands-Only-CPR?

Hands-only CPR consists of 2 steps:

First, call 999,

Second, push hard and fast at the center of the victim’s chest.

Hands-Only CPR is just as effective as conventional CPR with breaths when given in the first few minutes of a cardiac arrest. It can help a heart attack victim survive 3 to 5 minutes. This may be enough time until emergency medical services arrive.

Chest compressions that are hard and fast enough will help pump blood to the heart and brain.

When should we stop performing CPR?

  • When the victim revive or start breathing, or showing kind of consciousness
  • Professional Medical Service/AED take over.
  • If you feel like you can no longer continue it is okay to stop and take a break but do not leave the victim unattended. Find someone for assistance
